Blog features

Just a little page to share our lovely features we’ve had with the coolest blogs in wedding land!

We got a fab feature over the Easter weekend on Rock My Wedding blog…place of all things cool and pretty. We had an amazing response from it an several fantastic weddings booked as a result…Rock on!  here’s the feature…

I hope everyone has had an amazing Easter and a well earned break to catch up with family, friends and loved ones.

As a little bank holiday treat we thought we would share a bit of London love, courtesy of videography guru’s reellovefilms. Simon and Emma married in the capital in a stunning white winter wedding.

Check out the video and then be sure to read Simon’s report that you can find below…

Emma and I met 7 years ago through a mutual friend, it took me quite some time to get around to proposing to Emma, but I did so on a beach in Hawaii which will always be an incredible memory. We didn’t start properly organising the wedding till around May 2011 which everyone kept telling us was very last minute, however due to the fact that Emma and myself are so laid back and that we chose a Friday to get married (it seemed to be the done thing last year!) it was fairly straight forward.

The People That Made It All Happen…

As Emma’s Dad used to be in the RAF we were able to be married by the Rev. David Osborn from St. Clement Danes Church.

Thames Clipper’s provided the transportation from the church to the reception venue. We had timed it perfectly and were travelling through London whilst the sun was setting. It was great for the guests – many of whom had never been to London. it also provided a stunning back drop for our photos and video.

Tatiana, Bonnie and their team at the Old Royal Naval College did a fantastic job – it really was a truly relaxing day and this was thanks in no part to all the staff at the Old Royal Naval College, when our guests filed into into the venue it was literally breathtaking.

Our flowers were provided by Rachel Morgan who was fantastic and met us on two occasions at the Painted Hall to talk through all of our ideas and was a great support in general wedding know how!

Bob Grosse was our toastmaster – we weren’t too sure about having a toast master as it all felt a bit grand even after choosing the Painted Hall as a venue. Bob met us at the venue a month before the wedding day to walk through exactly how the reception would proceed – he met us as we disembarked the boat and ensured the rest of the evening proceeded without a hitch.

A lighting designer friend of ours, Richard White very kindly lit the evening reception venue for us. Richard did an amazing job of making the space downstairs look even more stunning.

We booked a band called The Hitmen and Her who had come recommended from a friend of ours- again they were brilliant and played a very eclectic range of songs.

Velma Simon created the Bridesmaids dresses. Emma & Velma collaborated on the design and were both so pleased with the results.

Janis Ratnieks was our photographer, his style is stunning and we love how timeless his portfolio was – we were keen to have photos that weren’t going to date and he seemed to fit the brief perfectly.

It was a very late decision to have a wedding video but one which we are incredibly grateful to have made. It really brings the day to life and will be a fantastic lasting memory of an amazing day. Watching the trailer feels like you’re watching a movie trailer and everyone who has seen it has been incredibly moved. Thank you Reel Love Films.

And thank you Simon and Emma for in inviting us all in to share your winter wonderland in London town.

Well, we have taken oppulence and granduer to a new level today – check out that reception venue.

I love how the old school environment and decor of the Old Royal Naval College contrasts with the journey via road and river through the gritty urban landmarks of London. Yes, I am feeling poetic today ;)

And of course it was all beautifully captured by the super talented Reel Love Films.

Adam.

We had another feature on the beautiful Love My Dress blog today, with the wedding we did for Lucy and Jonny, at Claridges in December. Here’s the feature (thank you Annabel!)

Lunch Time Wedding Film ~ Lucy and Jonny at Claridges…

This is just one of those wedding films you have to watch.

The brides dress?  The venue {Claridges, no less}, the quality of film production, the music, that kiss at the alter, everything works together so perfectly and beautifully, I think I must have watched this film fifteen times already this morning!

This film is a production of the brilliant and wonderful Reellove Films.

Sit back, relax and enjoy…

….beautiful and heartfelt and inspiring.

Huge congratulations to you Lucy and Jonny and thank you so much for so graciously sharing your gorgeous wedding film with my readers.

Wedding Blog - Boho
Hayley and Craig have just been featured on Boho Blog by the lovely Kelly there. A great source for  unique and individual wedding ideas and suppliers. Here’s Kelly’s feature…..

Welcome to this mornings showing on Saturday Cinema . I have upped the saturday blogging to 2 wedding films, I have so many amazing weddings to share with you I thought it only fair to give you a morning showing and an afternoon showing. So from now on you will get a double bill every saturday.

The featured presentation this morning is brought to you by Frances from Reel Love Films. The Couple are Hayley and Craig who got married on 20th August 2011 at Wilton’s Music Hall in London….and what an amazing venue it is! a Stunning film of a totally stunning wedding. I do love watching these films, and this one is outstanding! photographs are wonderful and a great way to capture the day but a video really does get all those tender moments captured perfectly. I often find myself crying while going through my video submissions, you’d think by now I’d become immune to the emotion, but video really does something to me!……..and as you know ‘I do love a good wedding!’

Hayley and Craig from reellovefilms on Vimeo.

I asked Frances what her favourite part of the wedding was ‘The couple were just so gentle and kind, really sweet. There was no pretension, just friendliness and kindness. And, of course the venue! Completely stunning and just so full of character and atmosphere. The staff were really helpful too….just had a really good vibe to the whole day.’
What do you think make a good wedding video –‘Capturing the feelings and emotions of the day, in a natural and thoughtful way. Being in the background, just watching and letting things happen of their own accord. Catching all the little details that get forgotten, the little exchanges and holding of hands, the small events that make up the whole day…and the love!’

Tom and Claire were recently featured on the fantastic Love My Dress blog, source of all things elegant, vintage and unique. Here’s what Annabel said….

Tom and Claire and their Beautiful Orchard Farm Wedding…

Hello again my dears : )

Thought I’d share a rather lovely video with you to watch during your lunch break.  This was sent in by Frances of wedding film makers, Reellove Films, and I just absolutely love it.  From the soundtrack to the beautiful Bride with her pretty dress and headpiece, It’s a perfect little bit of cinema that beautifully captures the essence of the wedding and it also includes lots of lovely inspiration for you too, by way of decor and styling.

This is the Somerset, DIY filled wedding day of Tom and Claire, which took place on Tom’s Mum’s farm, where the couple met (whilst shovelling manure, apparently, haha!).

Watch out for the beautiful golden sunshine in the evening, cider and smiley faces…

Enjoy… : )
