Scottish wedding video blog post!

I know every wedding supplier says that their couples are the best, but our couples really are the best! This is the wonderfully happy, fun, energy filled, drop dead gorgeous wedding of Bryony and Ed, who were married at the church at Ballindalloch, followed by the reception in a marquee in the grounds of Ballindalloch castle, all just a few minutes from Bryony’s home village of Aberlour. The setting for all this was that kind of wild beauty you only get in Scotland and the they filled the place with their friends and family who had travelled from all over the globe to join them.

Although Bryony and Ed now live in London, the wedding was a wonderful mixture of Scottish with a South African twist (Ed was born in South Africa). Bryony’s family are well known for making shortbread (you’ve probably eaten some of it) and I loved the sense of tradition and heritage it gave the day, which blended perfectly with the energetic and vibrant guests.

The wedding day

Bryony looked so beautiful in her white, slim fitting, lace dress, by Rime Arodaky finished off perfectly with killer heels by Nicolas Kirkwood and bright coral nails. She did her own make up (she really doesn’t need much!) and wore flowers in her loose bun. Ed wore a tailor made suit and together they looked amazing.

We were joined by my wedding sidekick Rebecca Goddard who was the photographer for the day, as always it was great fun to go on another adventure to the highlands with Beccy…I really wouldn’t want to travel with anyone else!

We were blessed with some beautiful sunlight at the reception by the river, and the party was kicked off later with a Ceilidh where everyone danced their feet off. Fireworks followed and the party carried on until the early hours. Both Beccy and I have a soft spot for Scottish weddings…you just can’t beat a man in kilt with a set of bagpipes…and this one came up trumps! We loved filming you both and your beautiful families and friends, you’ve been a pleasure to work with and incredibly laid back about everything, which makes our job so easy. We wish you both endless luck and love for your future together xx
