Skye wedding video set in Portree. This one is going to be an all time favourite of ours…

I don’t really know where to start on this wedding…there’s so much to try and sum up. It’s a cliche to say we fell in love with our couple, but we truly did, they and their families, the island, the weather, the atmosphere…it just knocked us off our feet and I don’t think we’ve stopped talking or thinking about it since. It was a perfect day in every sense of the word, but more so, it was just so full of love and happiness. It will always make be smile every time I think of it.

It all started with us being collected from Inverness airport by Jamie’s bother Will, (aka best groomsman in the world… ever), who took us and the photographer, Marianne Taylor  back to Skye on our own mini road trip, showing us the Castles, Loch’s (and golfers) on the way…by the time we got to Portree we felt part of the family and so excited to meet everyone. Sarah Anne and Jamie live in Australia now, as do lots of their friends and family, so it felt like a giant reunion, with everyone returning home to Skye for the wedding. The island was positively buzzing with excitement.

The wedding day

The wedding day came and we woke up to glorious sunshine, sparkly sea and the most beautiful setting for a wedding. Sarah-Anne got ready at her family home, Scorrybreac, which overlooks the sea and has dreamy views form all the windows. Sarah Anne looked gorgeous in her  Martina Liana dress and shoes from Vera Wang.  Jamie and the boys all wore Kilts…it was our first time with kilts…we are now converted! Beautiful details ran through the day, Lavender, Peonies, candles, paper pompoms, bunting…it was all perfect.

I’m not particularly religious, but the Ceremony was conducted by family friend, Fr Jim Lawlor, who was so touching and funny, he made me want to go to his church just to hang out with him. The drinks reception took place back at  Scorrybreac and a traditional highland march though Portree, led by bagpipes, took everyone to the Skye Gathering Hall for the wedding breakfast and evening. This venue was special to so many people there, Sarah Anne’s parents even met there, it was magical. Premier Wedding Planners helped co-ordinate events here, it ran seamlessly.

A ceilidh followed the Speeches and lots of drams were downed…we got in at 5am…LOVE this wedding so much!!

We wish you both so much happiness in your future, you two are amazing, I hope we get to meet up again one day in Skye, with love xxx
