Vicky and Nick – Mount Stuart

First wedding of the year! And what a fabulous start it was. I travelled up to the Isle of Bute for Vicky and Nick’s beautiful wedding at Mount Stuart House….simply gorgeous. Vicky and Nick gathered their nearest and dearest, all making the journey and crossing on the ferry to the Island. It really was a breath taking venue and the chapel they were married in was bathed in pink  stained glass light, reflecting off the white marble. Lots of live music in the form of pipers, string quartets and band for the Ceilidh in the evening, topped off with spectacular fireworks in the evening. They both had put so much thought into the dy…it really paid off!

Everybody made me feel incredibly welcome and it was an absolute joy to work with Boyd who was the photographer for the day. A fabulous list of suppliers is below…take a moment to have a look as they all helped make the day very special.

Thank you Vicky and Nick for being so lovely to be around, I wish you lots of luck and love in your future together x

Claire and Russell – One Whitehall, London

This was our last wedding of 2012 and a return visit for us to One Whitehall, London, for the beautiful, funny, happy and heartwarming wedding of Claire and Russell. The ceremony and the reception took pace at One Whitehall, which is fast becoming one of my favourite venues, with it’s book lined walls, curved staircases and fantastic location near the river; it just works so well for a big party. Claire (and Russell, who chose the drinks ;)) had styled it perfectly with their Penguin book stationary and she had chosen a completely amazing dress to set off her vintage styled hair and make up, expertly done as always by Lipstick and Curls. Russell opted for Cad and the Dandy for his suit, finishing off the look perfectly.

One thing we didn’t know about the couple was that Russell works in TV…he’s a producer…so that’s just lovely and meant we weren’t at all slightly nervous about filming a TV producer’s wedding…but he made it very easy in that the Speeches both he and Claire gave, the Ceremony their Rabbi conducted and the Best men’s speech (which involved an Ukulele and Kazoo) were all so moving,  personal and funny we were spoilt for choice. Add to that some very happy friends and family, a great music set from The Wedding Smashers, and a very lovely and talented photographer in the shape of Jordanna Marston, and you do actually have a perfect wedding.

Claire and Russell, thank you so much for having us at your wedding, you two are meant to be…we wish you lots of luck and love for your future together xx
