We are so lucky…because we get to meet and film lovely people all the time, and Vicky and Ed are right up there in our lovely people ranks! This wedding was so much fun from start to finish, with a wonderful energy and free spirit, so reflective of Vicky and Ed themselves.

They got married at the beautiful little church at Cricket St Thomas, Somerset, the village where Ed’s parents live and where in fact, Ed and Vicky are building their own home (like you do, before you get married?!) Their building project has just been shown on one of our favourite programmes…Grand Designs (heres’ the link if you fancy a watch!) I’m pretty sure  the fact they’ve been filmed for a year helped them to be totally natural on the day while they were being photographed and filmed. In fact, one of the things I love best about this wedding was the way they both let go and just enjoyed the day, the weather, their friends, their families, the music without worrying about the details.

They had both worked incredibly hard in the run up to the wedding to convert a barn currently used by animals and full of poo, into a beautiful country wedding reception venue. They did an incredible job!! Ed, being a chef, even cooked the food for their own wedding breakfast…talk about DIY wedding! We were blessed with some amazing weather and everyone had a wonderful day. Their good friend even provided the transport with his families vintage car…a surprise for Vicky. We also got to see one of our very early couples from when we first started filming, Lucy and Jonny. So lovely to see you both again, hope we meet again soon!

Vicky looked beautiful in her dress by Jesus Piero from Blackburn Bridal, her gorgeous bouquet was by Raindrop Flowers (and lots of flowers provided and arranged by family too!) We were joined by Marshal Gray photographers and the evening entrainment was provided by the amazing Cash Cows who kept the party going into the early hours of the morning., dancing amongst the hay bales.

Thank you both for a wonderful wedding, keep on being happy and full of energy and ideas. We loved every minute! x
